Cuttack: The Odisha State Legal Services Authority (OSLSA) has organised a 5-days (40 hours) Mediation Training Programme for Judicial Officers beginning today at Gatikrushna Misra Auditorium of Odisha Judicial Academy.
Justice Vineet Saran, Judge Supreme Court of India inaugurated the Mediation Training Programme and addressed the Judicial Officers about the aims and objectives of the said training.
Dr S Muralidhar, the Chief Justice, High Court of Orissa and Patron-in-Chief, OSLSA addressed the august gathering about the importance of the mediation system in India. Justice Chittaranjan Das Judge High Court of Orissa and Member Secretary, Mediation Centre explained the importance of organising such training programmes and workshops.
While Justice Bibhu Prasad Routray gave the welcome address, Justice Savitri Ratho, Judge, High Court of Orissa and Member, Mediation Monitoring Committee spoke about the mediation system.
Justice Sasikanta Mishra, Judge, High Court of Orissa gave the vote of thanks.
In the above training programme, 30 Judicial Officers i.e. six Judicial Officers from each of the five Judgeships i.e Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal and Khurdha attended.
The training programme will continue from 9th to 11th, 16th & 17th April 2022.
Senior trainers of MCPC namely Veena Ralli, the Organising Secretary of Delhi High Court Mediation Centre (SAMADHAN) and J.P Sengh, senior advocate from Delhi as resource persons will impart training to the Judicial Officers.
The Member Secretary, OSLSA and his team, Registrar General and Officers of the Registry, High Court of Orissa and the Director, OJA and his team are conducting the training programme.
