Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) on Wednesday released its tentative recruitment examination calendar for August 2026, announcing the schedule for two key competitive examinations, including the Main Written Examination for Specialist Posts and the written test for posts requiring Physical Measurement and Physical Efficiency Tests (PMT/PET).
The Commission has advised candidates to regularly check its official website for updates, as the schedule is subject to change.
According to the examination calendar, the Main Written Examination for the Combined Post Graduate Level Recruitment Examination for Specialist Posts/Services, 2025 will be conducted on August 10 and 11, 2026.
The Commission has also scheduled the Written Examination for the Combined Recruitment Examination for posts/services requiring Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) on August 31, 2026.
The recruitment drive includes the posts of Civil Defence Instructor and Senior Store Inspector under the Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards & Civil Defence, Home Department.
In its notification, OSSC clarified that the examination programme is tentative and may be revised due to administrative exigencies or other unavoidable circumstances.
Candidates have been advised to keep a close watch on the Commission’s official website for any revisions to the examination schedule, issuance of admit cards and other recruitment-related notifications.
