Bhubaneswar: The Central University of Odisha (CUO) and Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) have partnered to boost agricultural research and outreach. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by CUO Vice-Chancellor (in-charge) NC Panda and OUAT Vice-Chancellor Pravat Kumar Roul on Tuesday, paving the way for academic and scientific collaboration.

The partnership enables exchange programmes for students, faculty, and scientists, sharing of resources, methodologies, and technologies, and joint research initiatives. “This collaboration will enhance scientific knowledge, practical skills, and contribute to the state’s economic growth,” said Panda.

The agreement includes sharing laboratory facilities and undertaking collaborative research, extension, and outreach activities in agriculture and related fields. Valid for three years, the MoU can be extended based on mutual consent and performance.

The partnership aims to benefit farmers and contribute to Odisha’s growth, with both institutions committed to working together to drive progress in agricultural research and development. This initiative is expected to create new opportunities for students, researchers, and the farming community, ultimately boosting the state’s agricultural sector.
