Over 30 Injured After Bus Hits Truck In Khalikote

Bhubaneswar: More than 30 passengers were injured after a bus in which they were travelling hit a truck on National Highway-16 near Langaleswar in Khallikote of  Ganjam district on Sunday.

The bus, named Balunkeswar, was coming from Bhubaneswar when it collided with the truck from behind, severely damaging its front portion. The driver, conductor, and helper fled the scene after the accident.

Seriously injured passengers were admitted to Khallikote hospital, where police have begun an investigation.

Passengers with minor injuries were sent to their destination in a special bus after receiving primary treatment.
