Bhubaneswar: The School & Mass Education Department on Thursday announced the results of the second phase of the first selection process for Plus II admissions for the academic year 2025-26 in Odisha. Out of 44,966 applicants, a total of 39,278 candidates have secured seats across different streams.
Stream-wise allotments include 22,337 students in Arts, 10,294 in Science, 2,789 in Commerce, 2,770 in Sanskrit, and 1,088 in Vocational courses across various higher secondary schools.
This year’s admissions reflect near gender balance, with 19,869 male and 19,402 female students being selected.
A key highlight of this round is the high selection rate among fresh applicants. Of the 20,832 students who applied for the first time in Phase II, as many as 19,636 have been allotted seats.
Officials said the admission process will continue as per the notified schedule, with further rounds planned to accommodate remaining applicants.
