Bhubaneswar: In a significant step towards expanding education in the state, more than 400 Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) have introduced classes XI and XII.

This development was shared by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond in the state assembly on Friday.

In a written reply to a question by Balikuda MLA Sarada Prasanna Jena, the Minister informed that classes XI have already been initiated in 214 OAVs, while class XII is now operational in 190 schools across Odisha.

“The government has also outlined plans to gradually roll out classes XI and XII in all remaining OAVs in a phased manner,” Minister said.
