Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is currently reviewing a large number of applications for the Subhadra Yojana, a scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to women in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed the State Assembly that 6,23,555 fresh applications are awaiting approval.
The applications are undergoing scrutiny and verification at various levels, including checks on documents and eligibility, to ensure that benefits reach the intended recipients. District administrations are working closely with the government to verify the information provided in the applications.
The pending applications include those from women who turned 21 this year and those who missed the earlier registration window. Once verified, eligible applicants will receive funds for all three instalments of the scheme at once, likely in March 2026.
