Bhubaneswar: Highlighting the government’s vision to position Odisha among the top five states in the country in terms of economic growth, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi revealed that investment proposals worth over Rs 5 lakh crore are expected during Utkarsh Odisha – Make In Odisha Conclave 2025.
Additionally, over 100 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are anticipated to be signed, paving the way for the creation of 3.5 lakh job opportunities, Majhi said while speaking to media persons on Friday after reviewing the preparations for the Utkarsh Odisha – Make In Odisha Conclave 2025.
The Chief Minister visited Janata Maidan, the venue for the conclave in Bhubaneswar, to assess the progress of preparations.
He announced that the arrangements were in the final stages and expressed confidence that the conclave would be a historic event.
“This conclave will not only lay the foundation for a strong and vibrant economy in the state but also create significant opportunities for farmers and laborers,” Majhi stated.
The conclave has already garnered significant interest, with over 7,500 delegates registering on the Make In Odisha website. This includes 100 international delegates from 20 foreign countries, with a notable presence from partner nations such as Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia.
Scheduled to take place on January 28 and 29, the event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking his fifth visit to Odisha in the last seven months. The Prime Minister’s presence is expected to add momentum to the state’s economic aspirations.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, and other senior officials during the site inspection.
