‘Overdose Of Drugs’ Claims Youth’s Life In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A youth died allegedly due to overdose of drug in Bhubaneswar on Monday.

According to sources, the deceased identified as Deepak Sahu from Rengali slum went out with his friends on Monday morning. Two of his friends brought him to his residence in a state of unconsciousness in the afternoon. They informed Deepak’s parents that he became unconscious after consuming overdose of brown sugar.

Without delaying, Deepak’s parents rushed him to Capital Hospital where he was declared dead.

Police, on a tip-off, reached the hospital and sent the body for post-mortem.

Police started an investigation into it. Police can ascertain the exact cause of Deepak’s death after post-mortem report comes, revealed sources.

Meanwhile, Deepak’s mother accused his friends of killing her son by making him consume overdose of brown sugar. Deepak’s mother has filed a complaint with Khandagiri police in this regard.
