Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a five per cent rebate for residents and property owners who pay their holding tax for the 2025-26 financial year in advance through online mode by April 30. This rebate is applicable to taxpayers who make online payments via the Bhubaneswar.me portal.
“Those paying the tax in advance and in online mode via Bhubaneswar.me portal will be entitled to a five per cent rebate,” the BMC stated in a notification.
The BMC has set up 22 revenue camps across the city to facilitate smooth tax collection. These camps are divided among the southeast, southwest, and north zones, with thirteen, five, and four camps respectively.
The revenue camps will be operational from 10 AM to 5 PM on all working days throughout April. This will provide taxpayers with ample opportunity to clear their holding tax dues and take advantage of the five per cent rebate.
Additionally, property owners can also clear their outstanding holding tax dues at these camps. The BMC aims to complete the tax collection process by April 28, with results expected to be announced between May 10 and 15.
