Bhubaneswar: A Plus-III student died at MKCG Medical College and Hospital while undergoing treatment after setting herself ablaze allegedly over a love affair.
The incident occurred on April 28 in Bhetanai village under Kotinada police limits in Ganjam district.
According to reports, the girl had poured kerosene on herself and set it on fire. She was first taken to Aska hospital and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital with severe burns on over 60% of her body, including face and neck.
Police investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
