Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Odisha on November 15 and launch the ‘Shahid Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Yojana’ on the Janjatiya Gaurav Divas in Rourkela, the birthdate of Birsa Munda.

It was informed by Union Minister Jual Oram. Prime Minister will attend a programme to celebrate the birth anniversary of Brisa Munda.

Under the ‘Shahid Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Yojana’, the government will provide Rs 5000 financial aid to students of the ST community.

The program aims to reduce the dropout rate among Scheduled Tribe students in Classes 9 and 10 in government and aided schools. By providing this financial support, the scheme encourages students to pursue higher education and empowers them to achieve their academic goals.
