Sonepur: In the fatal road accident which took place today morning at Badabahali chowk here, the driver of the car which caused the accident, ran away from the scene.
Sonepur SP Amresh Kumar Panda said that a police inspector, seated in the vehicle has also fled from the spot.
“The Inspector has been identified as Snigdharani Suna, posted in Rourkela police district. We have informed DIG Police, SP Rourkela and other supervisory officials to help us investigate the case,” said Panda.
The SP added that three persons have lost their lives in this tragedy and many other injured. The driver of the vehicle will be booked and arrested, he said.
