Bargarh: Bargarh Town Police have seized a large quantity of cough syrup and arrested two persons in connection with the illicit trade.
The police operation, conducted on Friday, resulted in the seizure of 2700 bottles of cough syrup, two scooters, and a mobile phone. The accused Surajal Nag (20) and Sikreti Chaudhury (29) of Bisipada were apprehended near the Katapali Canal Road.
Further investigation is underway to track down others involved in the trade and the pickup van used in the operation.
Meanwhile, police are conducting a thorough search to bring the culprits to justice.
