Bhubaneswar: In an inspiring display of determination and hard work, a former Indian Navy Petty Officer has successfully qualified for the Odisha Civil Services Examination 2022, securing an impressive rank of 624.
This achievement is of Rajeeb Behera, whose story is a testament to his commitment to serving the nation. After serving in the Indian Navy for 15 years, he voluntarily retired to pursue his passion for administrative services.
“I owe my success to the Indian Navy’s values of discipline, punctuality, and dedication. These principles have shaped my life and enabled me to overcome adversity,” Behera said.
Notably, Rajeeb achieved this feat without any physical coaching. Throughout his preparation, he sought guidance from coaching centers but primarily relied on self-study. His consistency and perseverance paid off in his fourth attempt.
Rajeeb credits his wife for being instrumental in his success. “She encouraged me to prepare for the administrative job since our marriage, and I realised its importance after retirement.”
As a father of a three-year-old daughter, balancing family responsibilities with exam preparation was challenging. However, Rajeeb’s Naval background taught him effective time management and how to accept challenges to overcome adversity.
“My experience in the Indian Navy will enrich my administrative career, and I’m committed to serving Odisha with dedication and sincerity,” Rajeeb said.
