Bhubaneswar: Pratikshya (The Wait) has won the National Film Award 2021 as the Best Feature Film in Odia.
The winners of the 69th National Film Awards for the year 2021 were announced in the evening today.
The award comprises Rajat Kamal and a cash award of Rs 1,00,000.
The film is a screen adaption of a short story ‘Bapa’ written by Sahitya Akademi award winning eminent litterateur and journalist Gourahari Das is directed by Anupam Patnaik, son of noted Odia film maker and director Amiya Patnaik.
The film starring Dipanwit Dashmohapatra, Choudhury Jayprakash Das, Barsha Patnaik, Sreela Tripathy, Roopambika Nayak, Susil Mishra, Abakash Mishra and Sidhant Mohapatra in a special appearance was produced under the banner of Amiya Patnaik Productions.
The film had also earlier in 2022 bagged the best story award at the 11th Annual DC South Asian Film Festival held in Washington DC, USA.
