Bhubaneswar: Preparations for Utkarsh Odisha have reached their final phase, with the Principal Secretary of the Industries Department delivering a detailed presentation to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi regarding the progress.
According to an official press release, Chief Minister Majhi emphasized the importance of creating a unique identity for Odisha among national and international investors. He urged the team to ensure that all programs are executed flawlessly and attractively to position Odisha as a long-term, preferred destination for investment.
The presentation highlighted that the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) will host its National Executive Council meeting on January 27, followed by two days of intensive sessions and conferences on January 28-29. The event will feature four plenary sessions, 16 sector-specific discussions, and four roundtable conferences, bringing together approximately 3,000 participants, including national and international industry leaders, investors, startup entrepreneurs, and industrial stakeholders.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address industrialists and investors on January 28. Other key highlights include sector-specific sessions, speeches by prominent industrialists and CEOs, a special session for Odia entrepreneurs, and another focused on women business leaders. Additionally, a dedicated session for Odia women entrepreneurs, titled ‘Subhadraru Mudra,’ will take place.
An industrial exhibition will also be held from January 28 to 30, showcasing Odisha’s potential and opportunities across various sectors.
The meeting was attended by Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Nikunja Bihari Dhal, Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department Surendra Kumar, and Principal Secretaries and Secretaries from various departments.
