Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Odisha on Monday for a three-day official visit, during which she is scheduled to attend a series of programmes in Kataka and Ganjam districts.
The President landed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar in the afternoon, where she was received by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other senior dignitaries.
Following her arrival, the President proceeded to Raj Bhavan before leaving for Kataka later in the day to inaugurate the Jagadguru Kripalu University.
On Tuesday, the President is scheduled to travel from Bhubaneswar to Brahmapur by train. From there, she will proceed by road to Taptapani hot spring in Ganjam district’s Sanakhemundi block to perform darshan and aarti at Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple and Shiva Temple.
The President will stay overnight at the Army AD College in Golabandha, Ganjam, before concluding her Odisha visit. She is scheduled to return to New Delhi on August 5.
