Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive on a three-day official visit to Odisha on Monday. She is scheduled to reach Rairangpur and take part in a number of programmes during her three-day visit.
After reaching Rairangpur in the afternoon, she will travel to Baripada to attend a conference and literary festival organised by the Santali Writers’ Association at Sahid Smruti Bhawan on Monday. The President will also inaugurate the Ekalavya model residential school at Kuliana of Mayurbhanj today.
The President will grace a programme to launch a skill development center in Khililpur, Safarghar. Later, she will visit SLS School and then launch the Rairangpur Sub Divisional Post Office following its upgradation.
The first citizen of the country will travel to Rairangpur by train and then visit Burla in Sambalpur at 1.20 pm on November 21. On the second day of her visit, President Murmu will inaugurate three express trains. She will travel from Badampahad to Rairangpur by train.
On November 22, the President will attend a programme at Prajapita Brahma Kumari’s Iswariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. She will subsequently leave from Jharsuguda Airport to Delhi on the morning of November 22.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP)-Eastern Range Himanshu Kumar Lal on Sunday reviewed the security arrangements made for President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Odisha.
A meeting of the Reserve Police Force (RPF) and the district police personnel deployed in the security arrangement was convened at the local stadium in Rairangpur town of Mayurbhanj district. The IGP-Eastern Range also had a meeting with Mayurbhanj Superintendent of Police (SP) S Susree in this regard earlier in the day. About 56 platoons of police force including special police teams have been deployed in the President’s security arrangement.
