Bhubaneswar: The President of India Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a four-day visit to Odisha beginning July 6, sources said.
Apart from attending several other programmes in Bhubaneswar and Puri between July 6 and July 9, President Murmu will participate in Rath Yatra, the annual chariot festival dedicated to Lord Jagannath and his siblings.
Though no concrete information regarding the President’s Odisha visit has been shared by Rashtrapati Bhawan, a source close to Rashtrapati Bhawan revealed that the President will reside in Puri for two days on July 7 and July 8 to take part in the famous Rath Yatra.
Besides, the President will attend a programme in Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar as part of her Odisha trip.
