Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a five-day visit to Odisha beginning tomorrow December 3 with a packed schedule of official engagements, including Indian Navy Day celebrations on December 4.
As per reports, Murmu’s visit will arrive at Bhubaneswar airport at 5 pm on December 3, followed by the unveiling of a statue of Pandit Raghunath Murmu at Niladri Vihar in the evening.
The next day, December 4, President Murmu will pay a visit to the revered Jagannath Temple in Puri, where she will offer prayers between 10:15 am and 10:40 am. Subsequently, she will head to the Blue Flag Beach in Puri at 3:55 pm to grace Navy Day celebrations as the Chief Guest. This event, hosted by Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of Naval Staff, will showcase the Indian Navy’s operational demonstration, commemorating the anniversary of Operation Trident during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
President Droupadi Murmu will witness a spectacular display of India’s naval prowess on December 4, featuring over 15 ships and submarines, more than 40 aircraft, demonstrations by Marine Commandos (MARCOS) and Indian Army personnel, aerial manoeuvres by MiG-29K and Hawk fighter jets, combat exercises, submarine operations, amphibious landings and rocket firing from warships
On December 5, President Murmu will attend OUAT’s 40th Convocation and inaugurate Bhubaneswar’s New Judicial Court Complex. President will visit her home district Mayurbhanj on December 6 before returning to New Delhi on December 7.
