Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a two-day visit to Odisha today. Her itinerary includes offering prayer to Lord Nilamadhab at Kantilo in Nayagarh district and attending a programme organized by the Bharatiya Biswabasu Sabar Samaj at Kaliapali village.
As per reports, the President will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 1:30 pm today and then proceed to Kantilo by helicopter. After arriving at Kantilo at 2:10 pm, President Droupadi Murmu will rest for 30 minutes at the Circuit House in Kantilo and then visit the Nilamadhab Temple. Following her visit to the temple, she will head to Kaliapali village via road.
Tight security arrangements have been made for the President’s visit, with five helipads being readied and police personnel deployed in large numbers.
The President’s visit has generated a lot of excitement in the region, with the Nayagarh district administration making elaborate arrangements for her programme.
The Governor of Odisha Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and Speaker of the Assembly Surama Padhy will also attend the programme. The President will depart for New Delhi tomorrow morning, bringing an end to her two-day visit to Odisha.
