Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for a major programme scheduled to be held in Rairangpur of Mayurbhanj district on June 20 to mark the completion of two years of the BJP government in the State.
Officials informed the meeting that both the President of India and the Prime Minister have consented to attend the event, making it one of the most significant government functions to be held in the state this year.
Reviewing the arrangements at Lok Seva Bhawan, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure comprehensive security measures at the venue, adequate facilities for the public attending the programme, and proper parking arrangements.
Emphasising the importance of the event, Majhi said special attention should be given to its smooth and successful conduct, considering the participation of the President and the Prime Minister.
The meeting was also informed that several major projects related to Odisha’s development would be inaugurated and foundation stones laid during the programme by the two dignitaries.
Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Development Commissioner D.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Saswata Mishra, and other senior officials attended the review meeting.
