Sambalpur: Private bus service has been affected in Odisha’s Sambalpur town since early Friday morning in protest against an attack on a bus driver on Thursday night.
According to reports, a private bus driver was seriously injured in an attack by miscreants near the Ainthapali bus stand in Sambalpur city yesterday night. While the reason behind the attack is not known, the driver was admitted to the Burla Hospital in critical condition. Following the incident, private bus employees launched a protest demanding the arrest of the accused and setting up a fund for the welfare of victims of such incidents.
No bus is being allowed to enter the bus stand or leave the bus stand affecting the public transport system in the city.
