Bhubaneswar: A fire broke out at a studio of a private television channel located at Sarua in Khordha district late last night, causing significant damage worth lakhs of rupees. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The fire occurred after the shooting had wrapped up for the day and the studio had been locked up for the night. Residents spotted the fire early this morning and immediately alerted the Fire Department.
Four teams of firefighters rushed to the scene and contained the blaze after an extensive operation. Although the exact cause of the fire is unknown, officials suspect it may have been triggered by an electrical short circuit.
The Fire Department received the alert early this morning and promptly responded. “We’re investigating the cause and assessing the damage,” said a Fire Department official.
