Puri: Puri district administration has launched a mobile application (Mobile App) ‘Rath Yatra 2024’ to make more information easily accessible for pilgrims and tourists visiting Puri to watch Rath Yatra.
By downloading this App spectators and tourists can easily get information on the nearest drinking water facility, health centre, free food distribution centres, police aid posts, child desks, helpline, information centre, temporary shelters, wheelchair arrangement for PwDs, lifeguard service, control room, etc.
Users can also get information on the nearest hotels and restaurants parking spaces, religious places, etc through the App. They can easily reach these places through the navigation facility available in the App.
Users can also download the Rath Yatra 2024 App through a QR code on all Android mobile phones. All other necessary information on Rath Yatra to Niladri Bije will be added to the App.
This is the first time the district administration has made such an attempt.
Puri Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain has said that this App will certainly prove helpful to people during the crowded Rath Yatra in getting information.
Swain added that plans are afoot for developing an integrated city App for Puri in the coming days.
