Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court today sought responses from the State government and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) over the ongoing Puri Heritage Corridor project.
The High Court while hearing a petition filed by one Dilip Baral, a resident of Puri sought replies from the State government and ASI on what is being constructed around the Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri, whether permission has been obtained for carrying out such construction and lastly whether there is any structural threat to the temple or not.
Both the State government and ASI have been directed to file their responses by April 17.
The High Court has fixed April 21 as the next date for a hearing on the matter.
