Puri: In a major breakthrough, Puri Police have dismantled two criminal gangs as part of their intensified crackdown under Operation Chakra. T
he Talabania and Town Police Stations led the coordinated operation, resulting in the arrest of 10 accused linked to the two gangs.
During the raids, police seized a significant cache of weapons and incriminating materials, including: 3 country-made pistols; 4 live bullets; 3 knives; iron rods; cash and other items
According to Puri SP Prateek Singh, the arrested individuals were actively involved in planning a series of crimes, including robberies, extortion, and issuing threats. All 10 accused are being forwarded to court today, Singh added.
Police officials said that more operations are underway to identify and apprehend other associates connected to the two gangs.
