Bhubaneswar: Anticipating heavy crowds for Devasnan Purnima on Monday, Puri Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory for two-wheelers and four-wheelers. Parking will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Two-Wheeler Advisory
Devotees arriving on two-wheelers from Bhubaneswar, Brahmagiri, or Konark for darshan will be allowed up to Market Chhak. Vehicles can be parked at the Municipal Market Complex. Once that lot is full, parking will be shifted to Old Jagannath Ballav.
For the return journey, vehicles parked at Old Jagannath Ballav will exit via Narendra Kona and Jatia Babaji Chhak. Those parked at the Municipal Market Complex will return via Medical Chhak. Two-wheelers heading to the sea beach will park at Digabareni via VIP Road and return by the same route.
Four-Wheeler Advisory
From Bhubaneswar side: Vehicles coming via Malatipatpur, Batagaon, and Shree Setu will be directed to New JBPC Parking. Once full, they will be diverted to Jail Road Parking, then to designated Sharadhabali Parking via Medical Square and Badashankha.
If that is full, vehicles will be routed via Medical Square and VIP Road to Blue Flag Beach and Hotel Neelachal Ashok Parking. If all lots are full, vehicles will be diverted to Talabania Parking via Malatipatpur, ROB, Grid Station, and Bhudan Road.
From Brahmagiri side:
Vehicles will be sent to New JBPC Parking via Shree Setu. Once full, they will be diverted to Yatrika Parking via Mangalaghat and Sterling, and must return via the same route.
From Konark side: Vehicles will be directed to Blue Flag Beach and Hotel Neelachal Ashok Parking via Bidas Nagar, Grid Station, Penthakata, CT Road, and Subhas Bose Square. Once full, they will be sent to Talabania and ITI Parking via Bhudan Chhak, returning by the same route.
Devotees from Bhubaneswar, Brahmagiri, or Konark heading only to the sea beach will be directed to Yatrika Parking via Batagaon, Mangalaghat, and Sterling, and will return by the same route.
Puri Police has appealed to devotees to follow the advisory and cooperate with traffic personnel to ensure smooth movement during Devasnan Purnima.
