Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off the second Vande Bharat Express train in Odisha via video conferencing from New Delhi today.
The semi-high speed train will connect the coastal-pilgrim town Puri to western Odisha’s Rourkela, covering a distance of around 500 km. It will run six days a week except Saturday.
The premium rail service will offer the fastest rail connectivity between western and coastal Odisha.
A special event will be organised at Bhubaneswar railway station in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and top railway officials for the flagging-off ceremony.
Besides, PM Modi will also flag off eight other Vande Bharat trains from other States.
