Puri: The Cultural Advisory Committee (CAC) of the Shree Mandir Parikrama Project in Puri has agreed to the proposal of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to shift the Shree Jagannath Reception Centre (SJRC) beyond the prohibited zone of 100 m.
It was decided in a meeting of the CAC held on May 11 under the Chairmanship of Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Dev in the conference hall of the Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC).
The CAC also decided to keep the design of the amenities simple in tandem with the spiritual nature of the entire temple complex so that there will not be any visual impact on the main Temple.
After examining the current availability of land, the CAC decided to develop the Outer Access Road (OAR) in the available width and extensions may be made after the acquisition of the required balance land.
