Railway Employee Arrested For Kidnapping Minor Girl In Balangir

Bhubaneswar: The Muribahal police arrested a railway employee on charges of kidnapping a minor girl in Balangir district on Friday.

The accused, identified as Ghanashyam Bhoi, is a resident of Loisingha village in Balangir district and works for the Kesinga Railway Department.

According to reports, Ghanashyam was in love with a minor girl from the Muribahal area, who was studying at a college. On December 9, he allegedly kidnapped the girl. Her family informed the police, who launched an investigation. The police later rescued the girl from a house in the Kesinga Railway Department.

Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
