Railways Augment Additional Coaches In Important Express Trains To Clear Passenger Rush

Bhubaneswar: To provide more comfortable travel facilities to passengers and to cater to the increased rush of commuters during the upcoming week, Indian Railways has decided to temporarily augment additional coaches in several important express trains.

Train No. 12837 Howrah–Puri Superfast Express will be augmented with one additional Sleeper Class Coach from 09th May to 15th May 2026 to facilitate increased passenger movement between Howrah and Puri.

Similarly, Train No. 18045 Shalimar–Charlapalli East Coast Express will be augmented with one additional AC 3-Tier Coach from 09th May to 15th May 2026.

In addition, Train No. 18063 Santragachi–Yelahanka AC Express will be augmented with one additional AC 3-Tier Coach on 14th May 2026.

The temporary augmentation of coaches will provide additional berths to passengers travelling on these important routes and help accommodate the growing travel demand during the period.
