Bhubaneswar: Indian Railways has temporarily cancelled eight MEMU train services scheduled to operate on July 7, 2026, due to ongoing safety-related modernisation work between Malatipatpur and Puri stations under the Khurda Road Division.
The temporary suspension of services is aimed at facilitating critical infrastructure upgrades to enhance operational safety, improve reliability, and ensure more efficient train movement in the section.
The cancelled trains include Train No. 68403 Khurda Road–Puri MEMU, Train No. 68404 Puri–Khurda Road MEMU, Train No. 68415 Cuttack–Puri MEMU, Train No. 68416 Puri–Cuttack MEMU, Train No. 68437 Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU, Train No. 68438 Cuttack–Bhadrak MEMU, Train No. 58405 Cuttack–Paradeep MEMU, and Train No. 58406 Paradeep–Cuttack MEMU.
Railway authorities have advised passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and verify the latest train schedules before travelling. Commuters can obtain real-time information through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or the official Indian Railways website.
The Railways reiterated that the temporary inconvenience is necessary to complete the modernisation work, which is expected to strengthen safety standards and improve passenger services in the long run.
