Bhubaneswar: Had popular Ollywood actor Raimohan Parida had a premonition that he would be dying soon?
Or was that a coincidence that exactly ten days before he hanged himself to death in his Prachi Vihar residence on Friday Raimohan had asked a technician of LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) Sumitra Rout to remove his eyes on death.
Sumitra was an acquaintance of the popular Ollywood actor.
It was Sumitra who convinced Raimohan’s family members to donate the actor’s eyes to Drusti Daan Eye Bank and conducted the surgery to remove those.
“It was a very painful experience of my life. Exactly ten days back I had met Raimohan bhai. When he came to know that I work for an organisation involved in eye donation he said you will take my eyes on my death. I couldn’t believe it when I got the news of his death. I was shocked when I came and saw him in the casualty ward. Then I decided to convince his family members for donating his eyes. Initially, they were not willing but later agreed. I was very scared while I was removing Raimohan bhai’s eyes,” claimed Sumitra.
