Bhubaneswar: Rainfall activity is likely to dampen Durga Puja festivities as the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has predicted that a cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge into into northeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal around 1st October.
The Meteorological Centre has forecast that rainfall activity will increase in the State from October 1.
Currently, another cyclonic circulation over west-central Bay of Bengal lies over northwest and west-central Bay of Bengal and extends up to 3.1 km above mean sea level.
Moreover, the Meteorological Centre has issued warning for heavy rain with lightning in some districts on September 28 and 29th.

Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 28.09.2022).
Yellow Warning (Be Updated) Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput.
Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.09.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 29.09.2022).
