Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for 18 Odisha districts predicting light to moderate rain, thunder and lightning along with gusty wind speed up to 40 kmph in the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 1:15 pm, light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Kendujhar, Debagada, Sundargada, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Nayagada, Balangir, Nuapada, Sonepur, Boudh, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Kataka (including Kataka city) and Puri during the next 3 hours. These districts have been issued yellow warning.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety, the IMD said.
