Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, on Thursday issued a Yellow Message warning of light to moderate rain, thunder and lightning accompanied by gusty winds in several parts of Odisha during the next three hours.
According to the nowcast issued at 10.05 pm, wind speeds of up to 40 kmph are likely at many places in Nuapada, Bargada, Boudh, Balangir, Debagada, Puri, Khordha, Jajpur, Nayagada, Kataka, Kendrapada, Sundaragada, Kendujhar, Jagatsinghpur, Anugola, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Baleshwar, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamala and Subarnapur districts.
The warning also covers Puri, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities.
The weather office advised people to remain alert for deterioration in weather conditions and plan their activities accordingly.
