Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued a yellow warning for 19 districts of Odisha, forecasting light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at isolated places over the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, at 5.15 pm on October 15, the alert covers Puri, Nayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kandhamal, Jajpur, Kataka, Khordha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sundaragada, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Kalahandi districts.
The warning also covers Kataka and Bhubaneswar cities.
The weather office has advised people to remain alert to changing weather conditions and take necessary precautions for their safety.
