Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre of Bhubaneswar has issued a nowcast warning for 20 districts of Odisha predicting light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in next three hours.
According to the warning, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places over the next 3 hours in Ganjam, Kendujhar, Koraput, Gajapati, Rayagada, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Nuapada, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Sambalpur, Boudh, Baleshwar, Mayurbhanj, Nayagada, Puri, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Kataka (including Kataka City) and Khordha (including Bhubaneswar City).
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather, stay indoors during lightning activity and plan their movement accordingly for safety.
The Meteorological Department said the alert is valid for the next three hours.
