Bhubaneshwar: Well-known miniature artist L Eswar Rao crafted eco-friendly chariots of the sibling deities-Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra using papers and incense sticks on the occasion of Rath yatra.
Only two-inch tall chariots have carried the deities made of tamarind seeds. Eswar Rao, a resident of Gopinathpur near Hatabazar in Puri said he took around a week to complete his works.
The idols of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra, which are placed on chariots, are only half a centimetre long.
The artist extended his best wishes to all Jagannath devotees on the occasion of Rath Yatra through his art.
Rao has been practising the art for the last 25 years since his school days.
