Bhubaneswar: Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Sunday said that the repair work and inventory of the Puri Jagannath Temple Ratna Bhandar will be completed by January 31. The ornaments and other valuables will be taken from the temporary safe and inventory will be done.
Earlier Harichandan had said that the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) could not repair the Ratana Bhandar due to the heavy crowd of devotees during the month of Kartik. However, the repair work will start in a couple of days and the ASI has made preparations in this regard. “I hope that the inventory of the Ratana Bhandar will be done by the end of January,” he said.
It is worth noting that the SOP for the inventory of the Ratana Bhandar was prepared. The inventory will be taken after the ASI repairs it and gives a certificate. The repair should be done in such a way that it will not need any further repair in the next 100 years. There cannot be any interruption in the repair, this is an important part of the SOP.
