Bhubaneswar: The Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) recommended by the high-level committee headed by Justice Biswanath Rath for the opening of Ratna Bhandar (Treasure trove) will be made public in a day or two.
Speaking to media, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said that the SOPs for the opening of Ratna Bhandar are being scrutinised and will be cleared by the government by Saturday.
“The SOPs that have been recommended by the high-level committee are being examined. Various aspects including the legal angle of the SOP are being analysed. Clarity will come out in a day or two,” Harichandan said.
On Adap Pahandi mishap, he said that the government initiated primary action on Thursday. Further investigation is underway. Action will be taken accordingly, Harichandan added.
The Ratna Bhandar committee headed by Orissa High Court judge Justice Biswanath Rath recommended the government to open the treasure trove on July 14. The proposal was also approved by the temple management committee.
The 16-member high-level committee on Ratna Bhandar in its first meeting on July 9 had prepared the SOP and proposed July 14 as the date for reopening of the treasury.
