R&B Asst Engineer Ashok Kumar Panda Arrested By Vigilance For Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance has arrested Ashok Kumar Panda, Assistant Engineer at Roads and Buildings (R&B) Division-III in Bhubaneswar, for possessing disproportionate assets worth crores. After four days of intense raids, the vigilance team found Panda in possession of assets that he couldn’t account for satisfactorily.

The assets include three buildings, comprising two palatial multi-storeyed buildings, seven posh flats in prime projects, and nine high-value plots in and around Bhubaneswar. Additionally, Panda was found to have four commercial outlets in prominent locations like Galleria, Symphony, and DLF Cyber City. He also had deposits of approximately Rs. 2.35 crore, cash of Rs. 1.33 lakh, and over 125 grams of gold.

The vigilance team conducted searches at multiple locations linked to Panda and registered a case against him, the vigilance Cell. Panda will be forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
