Malkangiri: The Southern Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Sangram Keshari Mohapatra, visited MV 26 village and reviewed the situation following recent violence. He was informed by District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay about the steps taken by the administration.
Mohapatra assured villagers that normalcy would return soon and appreciated the district administration’s efforts in controlling the situation. He stated that the administration is monitoring the relief distribution system and is present on the ground.
Relief materials, including tarpaulins, blankets, cots, and mats, have been distributed to affected families. The electricity department is working to restore power connections, and the district administration is ensuring food security for the victims.
Security has been tightened in the village, with BSF, CRPF, RAF, and police forces deployed. Internet services have been suspended in the district for another 24 hours.
