Retired VLW Sentenced To 2 Years RI In Corruption Case In Berhampur

Bhubaneswar: A retired PEO-cum-VLW of Bhanjanagar block in Ganjam has been convicted by a Special Vigilance court in Berhampur.

Madan Mohan Muduli was sentenced to two years of rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs. 10,000.

Muduli was charged under various sections of the PC Act, 1988, and IPC for showing undue favour to an ineligible beneficiary, resulting in a loss to the government.

Following his conviction, Odisha Vigilance will now petition the competent authority to stop Muduli’s pension.
