Bhubaneswar: Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Suresh Pujari, was admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Tuesday evening following health complications linked to a cardiac condition.
According to sources, the Minister had been experiencing heart-related issues and was shifted to the Cardiothoracic and Vascular (CTV) Intensive Care Unit for close observation. A team of specialists at the premier medical institute is currently monitoring his condition.
Hospital sources indicated that Pujari has undergone an angiography to assess the extent of the problem. Preliminary findings reportedly revealed a blockage in one of the arteries, and he is expected to undergo a stenting procedure to restore normal blood flow.
Sources added that his condition is being carefully evaluated, and further medical decisions will be taken based on his response to treatment. More details regarding his health status are awaited.
