Road Accident Kills Three In Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A tragic road accident claimed the lives of three persons at Thakurdihi Chowk area under Sadar police station in Keonjhar on Thursday.

According to reports, Bibhu Barik, Sipun Naik, and Badal Naik were en route to Keonjhar on a bike to withdraw money from Suakati Bank to buy new dresses for the Raja Festival the next day when a truck hit them from behind.

One of them died on the spot. After the locals informed the police and the 108 ambulance, the police and 108 reached the spot and shifted the seriously injured to the Keonjhar district headquarters hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, the other two youths succumbed to injuries.

The police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are working to identify the vehicle involved in the accident.

The bodies have been seized for post-mortem.
