Bhubaneswar: Five robbers stole gold jewelry worth Rs 10 lakh and cash worth Rs 2 lakh from a house in Balisahi village under Aul Police Station in Kendrapara district on Friday night.
The victim, Narayan Sahoo, is the owner of the house.
According to reports, the robbers entered Sahoo’s house while the family was asleep. They locked the family in a room and carried out the robbery, stealing gold jewelry worth Rs 10 lakh and Rs 2 lakh in cash. After the theft, the criminals fled the scene.
When the family realized the theft, they found themselves locked in the room. They contacted Narayan’s brother, who arrived and unlocked the door. After learning about the robbery, Narayan Sahoo immediately informed the police.
Upon receiving the information, Aul Police quickly reached the spot and began their investigation. A forensic team was also sent to the location to conduct a detailed examination of the crime scene.
