Angul: A horrific fire broke out in a night bus named ‘Shri Maa’ en route from Rourkela to Paradip.Late at night, the bus caught fire at Banjikusum near Barkotia village in the Pallahada area of Angul district.
The bus was completely burnt to ashes.The fire first broke out in the AC unit of the bus. The driver immediately moved the bus to the side of the road and alerted the passengers. As a result, all passengers got out safely and a major tragedy was averted.
However, all passenger luggage inside the bus was destroyed in the fire. On receiving information, the Pallahada fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire.
Khamar and Pallahada police reached the site and started an investigation into the incident.The exact cause of the fire will be known after the investigation.
